Blooming Beauties: Chinese Glaze Colours

This set of illustrations is inspired by Chinese traditional glaze colours seen in ceramics from Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties, like the purple glaze seen in Jun, green glaze in Guanyao. Each colour is presented with a female figure in Chinese traditional costume (hanfu), captured in different types of flowers like fairies. Introducing the beauty of Chinese art and culture with exploration of methods in depicting Chinese mineral rock painting effects with digital art creation tools.

以中国古代色釉陶瓷为根本，创作出的一系列花样少女角色。每一作品以各个色釉为名：明弘治的娇黄釉、宋钧窑的玫瑰紫釉、晚康熙的豇豆红釉、明嘉靖的孔雀蓝釉，南宋龙泉窑的梅子青釉，清康熙的郎窑红釉。秉持着通过插画作品以实现中国传统文化输出的理念，希望透过这一系列作品能够让经过历史岁月沧桑积淀的中国色以及其制瓷，制釉手艺收获更多的喜爱与推崇。
