Yennie Wong
Is a UK-based Illustrator from Hong Kong.
Yennie is an illustrator based in London from Hong Kong; graduated with first-class honours for illustration (BA Hons) at the University of Edinburgh. She loves working with both digital and traditional art-making tools.
With the mixed cultural background and her fascination with traditional Chinese cultures and heritage like Chinese ink paintings, Gong-bi Hua, Chinese propaganda posters and Dunhuang murals, Yennie aims to share her perspectives and tell stories using flowing lines, vibrant colours with urbanised textures & intricate details. Her particular interest and dedication to the conservation of Chinese Intangible Heritage (ICH) arts and crafts have allowed such elements to be seen in her works.
Yennie enjoys making illustrations for magazines, newspapers & social media (editorial), advertising & packaging, books & publishing, and merchandise & crafts. She is detail-oriented and is great with deadlines!
