Piying in Edinburgh

Inspired by the Chinese intangible heritage craft of piying (Chinese shadow puppetry), I developed my own rendition using acetate, drawing from traditional Scottish and Chinese costumes and patterns. I showcased my piying at different locations across Edinburgh, sharing photos and videos of our adventures on social media. With this project, I aim to pay tribute to this heritage craft and raise about the fading historical cultures of China in today's digital era.
