Piying in Edinburgh

Drawing inspiration from the Chinese intangible heritage craft piying (Chinese shadow puppetry), I created my own interpretation acetate, incorporating traditional Scottish and Chinese and patterns. I presented my piying at various locations throughout Edinburgh and shared photos and videos of our experiences on social media. Through this project, I strive to honor this heritage and raise awareness about the diminishing historical cultures of China in digital age.
